Luxury Family Ski Holidays

Perhaps you are skiing with a young one for the first time or maybe your kids have been skiing for years. Perhaps your kids aren’t really even kids anymore. Whatever the situation, we’ve got it covered. As well as taking hundreds of families on ski holidays each year, we’re parents too. We understand that when you’re travelling with children it’s even more important to get the basics right to make sure that everyone enjoys their precious time on holiday.

For the kids, they have to be active and entertained, of course, but they must also be safe in the care of people you trust. Once that is sorted, then we can focus on making sure the adults in the group can enjoy some relaxation of their own as well. After all, it’s your holiday too.

Essentials

FAMILY TRAVEL

Many of our chalets are well located for short airport transfers, not much more than an hour. Our transfer providers can arrange child seats and boosters for children of all ages so unless you want to, you needn’t bring your own.

CHILDCARE

We work with some great private nannies, many of whom have experience of working in private households or in other luxury hospitality environments. In most resorts, the Ecole du Ski Francais, also run Club Piou Piou where your child can enjoy their first on snow experience in a safe ‘snow garden’ environment alongside the warmth of an indoor facility where it’s usually possible for them to have lunch as well.

SKI SCHOOL

We work with lots of great ski schools all of which have excellent programs for children. There are some fantastic independent schools who tend to focus on specific nationalities so they can teach children in their native language, but equally, the national French schools also offer great instruction for children of all ages. Private lessons are also an option, but we find that children often enjoy the social element of being involved in a group activity, and it’s great for them to have a badge and certificate to take back to school when they get home.

CHILD SAFE CHALETS AND EQUIPMENT

All of our chalets make a great base for a family holiday and we have a large range of childcare equipment meaning you don’t need to bring the kitchen sink with you. We can provide cots, high chairs, stair gates, changing facilities, monitors, sterilisers and even a special selection of bathroom products from our friends at Bamford.

FOOD

Our chefs are all professional and experienced, but we don’t leave anything to chance. We train our chefs in a selection of healthy, tasty children’s menus, which you can choose from as a starting point of your menu planning. Of course if you want to go off-piste that is no trouble, the chef will work with you to tailor the menu to your own family’s requirements.

NON-SKI ACTIVITIES

Our resorts are amazing places for children to have fun even without the skis. We can help you find the best areas to go sledding, tropical water parks at altitude (yes you read that correctly) and at Christmas even arrange for you to visit Santa Claus in the woods.

FUN FOR PARENTS

Finally, we will make sure you get to enjoy your holiday too. A luxury catered ski chalet is one of the most relaxing places to spend time as a family… where else can you put the children to bed and then enjoy a luxury Bamford spa treatment and a fine dining Japanese tasting menu without even needing to book a babysitter!
